Jordan Wright | 11-0 | 6’2 185 lbs. | Age 29 | Reach 77” | Orthodox Stance | Fighting Out of Los Angeles, California
Jordan “The Beverly Hills Ninja” Wright (11-0) already has a UFC debut win under his belt and is now aiming for an eleventh first-round finish at UFC 255. Born in ‘The 90210’ and now fighting out of West Los Angeles, Wright combines traditional martial arts with a gymnastics background to brutalize opponents with lethal kicks and opportune Jiu-Jitsu.
Jordan Wright began his MMA journey with Karate at age nine, but truly got a grasp of his body and it’s mechanics through his lifelong love, gymnastics. He credits his athleticism and amazing flexibility to the sport that he started at four but throughout his adolescence, Jordan slowly expanded his martial arts skills.
Wright began with Jeet Kune Do or “The Way of the Intercepting Fist”, a martial art philosophy developed by Bruce Lee. He kept learning traditional methods like Chinese Kung Fu and Muay Thai Boxing and noticed his gymnastics background instantly paid dividends for his footwork, coordination, and newfound kicking game.
Now 29 years old, Jordan Wright trains out of Dynamix MMA, a relatively small outfit in West L.A. with Wright being one of two pro fighters. Although the camp isn’t well known, its coaches definitely know what they’re talking about. UFC veterans Antoni Hardonk and Vladimir Matyushenko make up a coach’s corner you never want to cross.
Wright has been making them proud in the cage ever since he started competing professionally in 2014. “The Beverly Hills Ninja” has been nothing but victorious across the west coast, even venturing up to Alaska to notch a few wins in 2017. He earned a Contender Series shot in 2018 on the first season of the show. Jordan took his first-ever L via a 40-second KO, however, it was later ruled a no-contest after his opponent failed a drug test.
After the loss, Jordan Wright made adjustments in his personal life and came back looking stronger and smarter. He accepted a short-notice fight in August 2020, making good on the chance with a first-round TKO after he opened a nasty cut on his opponent with a knee in the clinch. Wright welcomes Joaquin Buckley (11-3) back to the octagon after “New Mansa” earned the KO of the Year on Fight Island last month. You do not want to miss this firecracker of a fight, going down at 6:30 PM ET on Saturday, 11/21, at UFC 255.
