Capitalizing on Paul Felder’s short notice acceptance of a main event bout, Rafael dos Anjos ground down the ‘Irish Dragon’ over five rounds to win on the judge’s scorecards.
While Felder undoubtedly and admirably had his moments in the fight, Dos Anjos would control the tempo of the fight and routinely pushed his opponent to the cage with his pressure.
Landing six takedowns over the course of the 25 minutes, there was little doubt that the Brazilian would get his hand raised once the contest was over yet bizarrely, one judges would award the fight to Felder drawing a look of surprise from Felder himself.
