UFC Fight Night 166 Results: Blaydes vs. Dos Santos
Despite failing to land a takedown in the fight, Curtis Blaydes still picked up the victory against Junior dos Santos as a monster right hand marked the beginning of the end for the former UFC champion.
With Blaydes routinely being shaken off as he looked to ground his opponent, a perfectly timed right hand found JDS’ chin as the Brazilian looked for an uppercut.
With Blaydes’ speed and shot selection allowing him to find his mark, the punch left Dos Santos huddled against the cage forcing referee Dan Miragliotta to wave off the contest.
Meanwhile in the co-main event, Michael Chiesa earned the biggest win of his career as an excellent grappling performance shut down Rafael dos Anjos’ offence.
