With one fight left on her current UFC contract, Paige VanZant is set to take on a rising Brazilian star in their home country.

As first reported by MMAFighting, both VanZant and Amanda Ribas have verbally agreed to a bout on March 14th which is expected to take place in Brasilia, Brazil.

VanZant (8-4) has yet to fight since ending a two-fight losing streak with a second-round submission win over Rachael Ostovich in January 2019. While the 25-year old has gone 2-3 in her last five fights, VanZant is currently situated as the #15 ranked strawweight contender in the UFC’s rankings.

Ribas (8-1) meanwhile is currently on a three-fight winning streak, including her two fights under the UFC banner. After recording a second-round submission win over Emily Whitmire in her promotional debut, the 26-year old Ribas most recently handed Mackenzie Dern her first professional loss with a unanimous decision win in October.
