Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez looks to be pulling the curtain down on his MMA career after telling the UFC he will withdraw from their drug testing partner’s pool of athletes.

Velasquez, per an initial report by MMAJunkie, now looks set to make the switch to professional wrestling and as a result, will no longer be tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) like active UFC fighters.

Velasquez (14-3) had ended a near-three year hiatus from MMA earlier this year but was defeated by Francis Ngannou in 26-seconds via TKO.

The 37-year old made his debut for the WWE last night on ‘Friday Night Smackdown’ following a string of performances in professional wrestling for Mexican promotions. As part of his appearance for the WWE, Velasquez would face off with fellow former UFC champion Brock Lesnar.
