A middleweight title eliminator is slated to headline the UFC’s Denmark debut in September.
Per Jared Cannonier’s manager, Malki Kawa, his client has verbally agreed to take on Scandinavian contender Jack Hermansson in the main event of UFC: Fight Night 160 on September 28th in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Cannonier (12-4) has put together back-to-back TKO wins since dropping down to the middleweight division in 2018 and now currently sits as the #9 ranked 185 lbs contender. The 35-year old has defeated both David Branch and former UFC champion Anderson Silva inside the distance in the only middleweight contests of his career.
Hermansson (20-4) meanwhile will enter the Copenhagen event riding a four-fight winning streak. The Swedish fighter, who lives and trains out of Norway, has finished three of his four latest wins inside the distance while most recently defeating perennial title contender Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza via unanimous decision.
