Bellator has its first double champion.
Taking just 35 seconds into the final of Bellator’s heavyweight grand prix, Ryan Bader knocked out Fedor Emelianenko to claim the vacant heavyweight title.
With a short left hook, Bader dropped ‘The Last Emperor’ before following up with a right hand on the mat that landed flush on Emelianenko’s chin. With the legendary Russian fighter left turtled on the ground, the contest was waved off leaving Bader both the light heavyweight and heavyweight champion of Bellator.
