Aldo (27-4) recently snapped a two-fight losing streak – both to featherweight champion Max Holloway – with a first-round knockout over Jeremy Stephens in July. While Aldo is 2-3 in his last five bouts, the Brazilian holds the record for the longest winning streak in UFC, WEC, Strikeforce and Pride history with 15 wins.
Moicano (13-1-1) meanwhile is currently on a two-fight win streak and most recently submitted Cub Swanson with a first-round rear-naked choke in August. The 29-year old had acted as a backup fighter for UFC 231’s featherweight title fight but missed championship weight of 145 lbs by one lb.
