Paulie Malignaggi has hit out at Conor McGregor and believes he is the most “over-hyped guy” in the history of combat sports, according to a report on the Express.
McGregor and his former sparring partner Malignaggi have developed a bitter feud and the American insisted that the Irishman is just all talk after his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
Khabib dominated the entire bout and eventually made McGregor tap out to keep the UFC lightweight title , which is something that Malignaggi predicted before the fight.
When speaking about his foe, Malignaggi said:
When you’re a ***** it’s always going to come out when you’re in combat sports. You can only hide that fact for so long because you’re going to get pressed to the point where you have to show some balls.
This guy I’ve been saying it or a while is going to go down as the most overrated guy in mixed martial arts history.
He had an overhyped record on the come up. This is the most overhyped guy in combat sports history, forget mixed martial arts.
McGregor is eager to have a rematch with Khabib but many fans and pundits believe that it would end in the same manner as it did on Saturday.
