Since a breakout win over Donald Cerrone in October of last year, Darren Till has been sidelined from sinusitis unable to capitalize upon the biggest win of his career. Speaking to MMAFighting.com recently, however, the Scouse fighter is ready to return to action and has put the 170lbs division on notice.

With an unbeaten 16-0-1 record, Till is currently ranked #7 in the UFC’s welterweight rankings and has routinely called out the majority of the biggest names in the division irrespective of ranking. With ‘The Gorilla’ looking for a fight sooner rather than later though, Till has singled out #1 contender Rafael dos Anjos for a bout at UFC 224 in May.

“Just because of his fan base there,” Till explained, “I’ve obviously lived there, I’ve got a lot of fans there and I can speak the language. It would be a good sell in Brazil if he’s willing to do it.

“I know he’s waiting for [Tyron] Woodley but Woodley doesn’t seem to want to come back.”

Till would also go on to speak of his desire to fight in America, a destination he has yet to compete in – “The Americans need to see the new breed” – but remained confident that his return to the octagon would be highly anticipated.

“Apart from Conor, everyone is anticipating my comeback more than anyone else,” Till said. “It will be big.”
