Remember when the UFC announced the bizarre middleweight title fight between champion Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre in February? You know, the one where fans reacted with complete apathy as the UFC totally overlooked an ageing and deserving number one contender in Yoel Romero in favour of a fighter who has never fought at 185 lbs before?

Well fortunately for all us fight fans, we only have to wait until the last three months of the year to see the middleweight title defended according to GSP.

Taking to his Twitter account to finally attach a timeframe to his anticipated return to action, Georges St-Pierre revealed that he is able to fight “any time after October”:

Mr. Bisping, I cleared my entire schedule to get ready for training camp after the summer so I can fight you any time after October. Pick the date. Let’s get it on.

With St-Pierre now transparent on his return, the proposed Bisping – St-Pierre title fight would mark the first time that Bisping has defended his 185 lbs title since last October against Dan Henderson while St-Pierre hasn’t set foot in the Octagon since a narrow split decision win against Johny Hendricks in 2o13.
