Even with all of the fight cancellations and last-minute opponent changes, UFC 223 ensured that the UFC’s lightweight division can finally regain order after being held captive by inactivity since 2016.

With a dominant performance, Khabib Nurmagomedov can lay claim to being the undisputed lightweight champion and did so by going the full 25 minutes with Al Iaquinta.

In the co-main event meanwhile, Rose Namajunas proved that she does, in fact, have the better of Joanna Jedrzejczyk as the strawweight champion retained her belt in a unanimous decision.
