Floyd Mayweather has been offered MMA lessons for his potential Conor McGregor rematch by UFC champion Tyron Woodley, Sporting News report.
The 50-0 boxing legend, who defeated McGregor in the ring last summer has teased a shock return in recent weeks, however this time in a UFC Octagon, to give the Irish MMA icon a shot at revenge after his 10th round Las Vegas loss.
Back in December, Mayweather admitted that he had been offered a ‘billion dollar contract’ by the MMA.
UFC champion Woodley, 35, admitted that the pair have had a serious conversation about training for MMA.
We started chatting about training MMA and we decided let’s connect, let’s hook up in Vegas and do some training and get him ready for MMA.
Woodley also stated that two and a half months should be plenty of time to get Mayweather ready for the Octagon, if he decides to make the switch for a one off bout with McGregor.
Mayweather’s potential in-ring return is certainly gathering pace, and it may not be too long until an official announcement comes out of the American’s camp.
