In possibly the best performance of his already illustrious career, Rafael dos Anjos beat former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler from pillar to post in a five round domination.
Through punishing leg kicks, body kicks and impeccable clinch work, dos Anjos was unrelenting in his pressure on Lawler and gave his incredibly tough opponent no room to breathe.
By the final two rounds, Lawler clearly struggled with a visible leg injury but held his own as the Brazilian former lightweight champion picked his openings en route to a shutout on the judge’s scorecards.
