UFC 214 promised to be the biggest event of the year and its main event duly delivered.

Putting a definitive end to their rivalry, Jon Jones made a triumphant return to the fight game as a left high kick found its mark and ended Daniel Cormier’s title reign in the third round.

Jones would then go on to show Cormier the respect he deserves in his post-fight interview and no matter what DC decides to do next in his career, the 38-year-old will surely go down as one of the greatest fighters of all-time; a victim of unfortunate circumstance as the unquestionable G.O.A.T just happened to fight at the same time and the same weight class.

Elsewhere at UFC 214, the co-main event bout between Tyron Woodley and Demian Maia provided less excitement and much, much more caution while Cris Cyborg claimed the vacant women’s featherweight title against a resilient Tonya Evinger.

The preliminary card saw some big wins for the likes of Ricardo Lamas, a career best win for Aljamain Sterling and a fourth straight third round win for Brian Ortega but for the sake of consistency, here are just five fights to make for UFC 214’s big winners:
