After two cancelled main events, UFC 213’s eventual headliner delivered fireworks and then some.

With five gruelling rounds in the books and left with one working leg to stand on by the end of the night, Robert Whittaker defeated Yoel Romero in a thrilling fight to become the interim middleweight champion and set up a unification showdown with Michael Bisping.

In the co-main event, Alistair Overeem came out on top against Fabricio Werdum in the rubber match of their cross-promotional trilogy via a controversial decision while there were also big wins for the likes of Anthony Pettis, Rob Font and Alexey Oleynik.
