UFC Fight 111 Results: Holm vs Correia
After two of the timidest rounds you’re bound to see in mixed martial arts, Holly Holm struck gold with a stunning question mark kick knockout of Bethe Correia.
With nothing of note to report from the first two rounds besides a request from referee Marc Goddard to engage, Holm burst into life after her Brazilian opponent encouraged some action. The Preacher’s Daughter duly obliged seconds later and a flush head kick put an end to the former bantamweight champion’s three-fight losing streak.
In the co-main event, Marcin Tybura edged out a hard-fought decision against Andrei Arlovski with controlling grappling while Colby Covington took his ability to dominate through wrestling to the nth degree by taking Dong Hyun Kim down at will.
Rafael dos Anjos also came up trumps against Tarec Saffiedine in his welterweight debut as both men battered one another in close in the fight of the night.
