Marred in controversy, retirements-a-plenty and first round finishes, UFC 210 was certainly an eventful one.

In the main event, Daniel Cormier retained his UFC light heavyweight title, calling his shot in the process, by breaking Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson in just over eight minutes. What followed was a shocking retirement by Johnson who brought an end to an 11-year career while the night’s big victor in Daniel Cormier steered into the ‘bad guy’ persona that the fans have bizarrely bestowed upon MMA’s nicest guy.

Meanwhile, in the co-main event, no one was quite sure what happened before Gegard Mousasi was unceremoniously declared the winner after five minutes of confusion surrounding an ‘illegal knee’ to Chris Weidman. After the incident, referee Dan Miragliotta went all around the houses before a replay viewed by a ringside John McCarthy and a doctors decision determined that ‘The All American’ couldn’t continue setting Weidman’s home crowd into rapturous booing.

Elsewhere, Canadian pioneer Patrick Cote called time on his career after suffering a defeat at the hands of Thiago Alves while on the prelims Kamaru Usman extended his impressive run at welterweight and a returning Myles Jury scored a first round TKO after a year out from competition.

With all that being said, let’s take a look at five fights that the UFC can make with UFC 210 now in the books:
