In a big step up in competition, the UFC have pitted young upstart Yair Rodriguez against a current legend.

Announced via the UFC’s Spanish-speaking Twitter account, Yair Rodriguez will face off against former UFC champion Frankie Edgar at an already stacked UFC 211.

Edgar (21-5-1) will head into Dallas, Texas coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 205 in November. ‘The Answer’ has gone 6-1 in his last seven fights, with his only loss coming against Jose Aldo in an interim featherweight title fight at UFC 200.

Standing opposite the legendary fighter on May 13th will be Yair Rodriguez (10-1) who has gone unbeaten throughout his six-fight tenure with the UFC. ‘El Pantera’ most recently defeated a returning B.J. Penn via second-round TKO in January in his second promotional main event.

UFC 211 is now scheduled to feature:
