The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale Results: Johnson vs Elliott
In a technically brilliant grappling battle, Demetrious Johnson successfully defended his flyweight title for the ninth time against Tim Elliott but was pushed to one of his toughest defences by The Ultimate Fighter winner.
In the first round, Elliott came close to a Matt Serra-like upset as he continually looked for submissions to put away Mighty Mouse with a D’arce choke, in particular, looking close to putting away Johnson.
From then on, however, Johnson’s ability to hold top position played a pivotal role in his victory as his constant passes kept Elliott in tough positions before coming out on top on the judges scorecards.
